NORWICH & PETERBOROUGH AWARDS NEW CONTRACT TO EQUIFAX
New four year deal gives Building Society continued access to market-leading credit risk solutions
London, 17th November 2009 - Norwich & Peterborough Building Society (N&P), has extended its current partnership with leading credit risk management expert, Equifax. The new four year deal strengthens the longstanding relationship between N&P and Equifax - the two companies have been working together for almost 15 years - and will see Equifax delivering a range of solutions to support N&P's continued focus on the consumer mortgage and banking markets.
Equifax provides N&P with services that support all aspects of the customer lifecycle, from credit risk assessment, identity verification and anti-money laundering checks to customer management and debtor tracing. The new four year contract gives N&P access to Equifax consumer credit risk data on an on-going basis, as well as being able to capitalise on several new initiatives introduced by Equifax.
In particular, N&P will be making use of the new enhancements to Equifax's Locate tool for tracing debtors. The lender will also be integrating the Equifax Insolvency Navigator scores into its application processing systems.
"For a Building Society to make this type of commitment in the current economic climate is a clear demonstration of the strength of the relationship Equifax has with N&P", confirmed Laurence Hamilton, Sales Director - Consumer Information Solutions, Equifax. "Our ability to provide a high quality of consumer credit risk data on an on-going basis, combined with new innovations in the scoring and debtor tracing areas were key to the new contract."
Andrew Reading, Lending Manager at Norwich & Peterborough Building Society, adds, "We are delighted to continue working with Equifax, building on a highly successful, long-term partnership. Equifax provides us with an unrivalled quality level of risk management tools that enable us to do business in an unstable market. Our partnership with Equifax allows us to manage our business based on the best credit data in the marketplace."
