Equifax Partners with the Metropolitan Police

On 9th May 2005 the Metropolitan Police launched Operation St£rling, a major new initiative to combat corporate ID theft in partnership with Companies House, the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) and key stakeholders. Equifax is working closely with the Met in this operation, investigating and passing on information about corporate fraud for further investigation by the Police

Equifax’s commitment

If we are made aware of a potential or actual fraud by a victim, or through our own investigations or our partnership with the Met’s Operation St£rling, we will investigate it and, if appropriate, place a warning on our business reports through our Fraud Watch Service. This service has been developed specifically in support of Operation St£rling and is free of charge to all our UK Business Information customers.
