BARRY CONROY FROM EQUIFAX WINS CREDIT INDUSTRY’S LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
Barry Conroy, former External Affairs Director for Equifax, has won one of the top accolades in the Credit Industry’s annual awards – the Credit Today award for Contribution to the Credit Industry. Barry has a lifetime of experience in the credit industry, the last 15 years of which were spent with Equifax. He played a key role in driving the business forward and working with the industry to create a culture of best practice.
Michael Shannon, Managing Director of Equifax comments, “Barry was instrumental in the development of Equifax’s consumer credit services. During his time at Equifax, Barry’s experience and expertise were fundamental to the creation of the company’s education services, designed to help consumers understand the importance and relevance of the consumer credit file. He also played a leading role in industry working parties and was a key member of the working party that provided a viable solution to the Third Party Data issue”.
Barry Conroy concludes, “The credit industry has faced many challenges over the last two decades and it has been exciting being part of that. This award is simply a demonstration of how important open communication and a close working relationship with the industry has become.”
