Equifax is the First Choice for Redcats
Equifax wins new contract to provide quality credit reference data to leadingmail order retailer
Equifax has announced a major new three-year contract with Redcats (UK) Plc, a subsidiary of the world’s third largest home shopping company. This contract was won following a rigorous ITT (Invitation to Tender) process, which involved the extensive evaluation of Equifax’s technology and scoring capabilities and testimonials from existing clients. It is an illustration of the quality of consumer data Equifax can provide to its clients, as it continues to build on its position as a market leading information provider.
Redcats (UK) Plc is part of the French group Pinault-Printemps-Redoute, which operates in 65 countries worldwide with a turnover of £18 billion (2002). Redcats, has a turnover of £396 million (2002) and runs five catalogues in the UK as well as websites for each brand, making access to a high level of accurate data essential. Following a successful ITT response for DPA compliant credit data earlier this year, Equifax was pleased to further develop its business relationship with Redcats by providing it with all its credit reference information requirements.
Bernard Conlon, Head of Financial Services for Redcats explains: “We use credit reference data to process our new customer applications and chose Equifax as our information provider because of the quality of data it could provide which, combined with the expertise of their staff, made Equifax the ideal choice for Redcats. Equifax also provides data analytics teams who will assist us to develop our DPA compliant customer acquisition strategies. This will help us to enhance the success of the business in the UK.”
Ian McKinnon, Managing Director Consumer Information Services for Equifax comments, “This is an exciting win for Equifax as we continue to build on our strong customer base. Redcats will benefit from our comprehensive database of information, which will help it drive its mail order retail business forward. We have already started work on a project to build a DPA compliant CPU Link to deliver credit bureau data into the Redcats Application Processing System.
“Over the next three years we will be working closely with Redcats to help increase its revenue, through the development of specialised and highly integrated systems designed to streamline processes and enhance cost efficiency.”
