Equifax Provides Access to the 2003 Edited Rolling Register
A new level of accurate information
The 2003 Edited Rolling Register (RR) is now available from Equifax, providing details of those individuals who have amended their entry to the annual Electoral Roll (ER). Equifax is the first to make this available on a monthly basis, offering a new way of quickly identifying new individuals at an address and those that have now moved on. This is an invaluable source of data for direct marketers and confirms Equifax’s position as a market leading information provider.
The RR will show new names at an address and also deletes, where a name no longer exists at an address. Equifax has taken RR entries from all of the councils and processed it to ensure the data is robust and compliant with recent legislation.
Ian McKinnon, MD of Information Services of Equifax comments, “Equifax is the first marketing data provider to provide access to the 2003 Edited Rolling Register, giving our customers a powerful new tool for creating effective direct marketing campaigns. Now our customers will have access to new names at a residence, which can be targeted as new movers before the name becomes available on the annual canvas. Deletes can be treated a suppressions, which minimises wasted mailings.”
The RR can be listed separately by month and by type (name additions or name deletions) for easy analysis. Equifax also provides pre-screening of the RR using generic or bespoke criteria. In addition, residency confirmation can be applied from different data sources and selections can also be made on a geographical basis. And, where they exist, telephone numbers can be added.
Ian McKinnonconcludes, “This is an exciting development as it allows Equifax to provide a new level of data to its customers. The Rolling Register will be supplied monthly, ensuring we have the most up-to-date and accurate information to add power to direct marketing campaigns. Now our customers will know they are effectively targeting their customer base, with the minimum of waste.”
