Equifax Creates Opportunities for The Welsh Development Agency
Equifax’s marketing services division has been chosen by the Welsh Development Agency (WDA) to help it create new corporate and commercial business opportunities across Wales. Equifax offers some of the most detailed and accurate Business-to-Business direct marketing databases in the UK, with over 2.8 million businesses listed. “This new contract confirms the value of Equifax’s vast resources and expertise for businesses aiming to identify key targets and stay ahead of the competition,” said Ian Mckinnon.
The WDA is a government-funded agency, accountable to the Welsh Assembly. It was created to promote Wales as a country and has played a key role in the economic success of the region, stimulating the growth of business in Wales on an international level. As such, the WDA has become one of the most successful development agencies in Europe, attracting world-class investors.
Equifax created a web-based service for the WDA, to give Welsh business start-ups and established companies the opportunity to expand their markets and increase their market share. Access to the highly targeted Equifax database is being provided to Welsh businesses by the WDA in the form of a free quarterly list of names and addresses for key target audiences. The service will work as a business community support tool with information that is specifically tailored for the Welsh business community.
The internet-based service provides an online database to help businesses create prospect lists. The comprehensive level of business information sourced by Equifax for the service includes employee band, premise indicators, turnover band ensuring businesses are working from an accurate pool of data.

We are helping the WDA to enhance its position as a key source of the latest business information, for businesses across Wales.
