EQUIFAX APPOINTS DIRECTOR OF MARKETING FOR U.K.

Christian Taylor To Drive Business-to-Business and Consumer Growth

London 6th July 2004 – Equifax plc today announced that it has appointed Christian Taylor as Director of Marketing for the U.K. In this role, Christian will spearhead key marketing initiatives designed to broaden the strategic development of Equifax in the UK, expand product offerings, and deepen penetration of Equifax solutions in the business-to-business sector.

"Christian brings more than 20 years of experience in marketing, product development and customer relationship management," said Michael Shannon, managing director, Equifax plc. "With extensive industry expertise, Christian will be instrumental in helping us further develop our market leading position in the UK."

Christian joins Equifax from O2, where he served as Group CRM and Marketing Capabilities Director. In this position, Christian led a customer centricity-focused transformation programme with significant emphasis on creating best-in-class marketing capabilities and CRM best practices across the group.

Prior to O2, Christian served as Manager of Customer Relations Marketing and Global CRM at Vodafone. During his tenure at Vodafone, Christian built a team of 30 people dedicated to customer loyalty and development initiatives. For Christian, success with the U.K. CRM initiative led to another key appointment at Vodafone where was asked to co-found the Global CRM Team and lead CRM across 12 Operating Companies.

Earlier in his career, Christian held key positions at Ford Motor Company, Abbey National and Eagle Star.

"I look forward to identifying opportunities to expand our consumer offerings and build our credentials in emerging markets where data will play an increasingly important role," says Christian.

Equifax provides a wide range of consumer offerings including MyEquifax, delivered direct over the Web. As Director of Marketing, Christian will focus on expanding these services and deepen Equifax's footprint in the business-to-business sector.
