TELE-MARKETING STEPS UP A GEAR
Equifax’s new services provides access to 7.2 million telephone numbers
LONDON, January 21, 2004 - Equifax Plc is introducing an exciting new service offering marketers 7.2 million telephone numbers at unique addresses. The new service means Equifax can append telephone numbers to externally supplied lists or to its own marketing lists such as Dimensions, the UK's most comprehensive database of consumer marketing information consisting of 35 million individuals at 19 million addresses. In addition, we can also supply line provider information. With this service, Equifax is bringing marketers a powerful new tool to help them stay ahead of the competition.
The Equifax Telephone Number Service uses matching techniques to maximise the number of matches made to supplied surnames and addresses. It allows marketers the flexibility of using their own lists or ones provided by Equifax Dimensions as a source of names for a telemarketing campaign. Furthermore, Equifax can provide changes in telephone numbers as well as extract subsets of numbers on a regular monthly basis over a given period. This is ideal to use in support of an ongoing marketing campaign and because the numbers are provided monthly, marketers can be confident they are up to date.
Fax lines are automatically screened out, as are ex-directory numbers. However, Equifax will soon have the ex-directory information available for proof of residency purposes. Equifax also has its own Telephone Preference Service (TPS) licence and screens numbers accordingly to minimise wastage for marketers.
Ian McKinnon, director of Information Services of Equifax comments, “This new service means Equifax is now able to offer more competitive rates when tele-appending. We can combine this service with our other offerings providing more of a “one-stop” shop for direct marketing services fulfilment as well as offering a range of delivery options, which can be tailored to the specific tele-marketing requirements of our customers.”
The Equifax Telephone Number Service is based on Equifax’s BT OSIS licence agreement, which means marketers will now benefit from highly accurate and timely telephone number information.
