This is Money Website To Deliver Online Credit Reports and Ratings Through MyEquifax

Empowering Consumers To Take Control of Their Financial Health

London, September 30, 2004 - Equifax Plc has launched an alliance with the UK's leading personal finance website, This Is Money (www.thisismoney.co.uk). The alliance provides This Is Money visitors with instant online access to the Equifax Credit Report and Credit Rating, enabling consumers to manage their finances and protect themselves from ID fraud.

Launched in September 2003, MyEquifax is a unique online service designed to offer consumers easy access to their credit information and enlighten them on all issues related to credit reports and credit ratings. This Is Money, voted consumer website of the year, provides a wealth of financial information and advice for consumers on a range of issues such as pensions and mortgages, share dealing and insurance.

Michael Shannon, managing director, Equifax comments: "In the first six months of its launch, more than 100,000 consumers signed up for MyEquifax and the recent launch of the Equifax Credit Rating has grown that community even further. MyEquifax and This Is Money share a strong synergy through their brand values, with both championing consumer knowledge through accessibility and up-to-date financial advice".

The alliance with This Is Money is a powerful initiative for both organisations. For Equifax, it provides access to the 389,197 visitors (ABCe audit, July 04) who use This Is Money, and enables This Is Money to enhance its current service, furthering its position as the personal finance website for UK consumers.

Mary McGregor, sales director, This is Money comments: "This is Money empowers people in the UK to make sound personal finance decisions. Our partnership with MyEquifax builds on in-depth content and online tools already available to our users to help them make the most of their money in the easiest way possible."

With improved access to credit information through targeted alliances, consumers can view essential advice, including information on the importance of credit, the financial impact of life events, and tips for improving personal credit and financial health, all of which appear in the consumer education section of the MyEquifax website.

Michael Shannon concludes, "When we launched Equifax Credit Rating this summer, it made a dramatic impact. This Is Money has gained an important financial tool for its customers and, like all of our products and services, we believe the Equifax Credit Rating will make a long-term significant difference to UK consumers and lenders, providing greater levels of consumer empowerment than ever before."
