EQUIFAX APPOINTS NEW CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER

London, 2nd November 2007 – Leading consumer and business information specialist, Equifax Plc, has appointed a new Chief Information Officer. John Spencer will play a key role in helping Equifax in the UK develop and grow both its core business and new market opportunities. He brings a wealth of high level experience and will provide a driving force in shaping and implementing our future-enabling technology platforms and solutions.

Prior to joining Equifax, John spent eight years with GE, most recently as CIO for its UK mortgage business. Previously he was Chief Technology Officer for GE Consumer Finance Europe. Prior to working for GE, he held positions in the banking, airline and telecoms sectors in Ireland.
