EQUIFAX OPENS MAJOR NEW FACILITIES IN WEXFORD

Strategic move for European expansion

London 30th January 2008 – The Irish Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, John Browne TD, recently opened Equifax’s new facilities at IDA Business & Technology Park in Drinagh, Wexford.

Equifax first established an operation in Wexford in 1994. In March 2007 the company announced its decision to expand its Irish operation, with the support of IDA Ireland. A range of new functions have been added at the Wexford operation which has been designated as the primary support centre for a number of the company’s business operations in the UK. Under the expansion 180 new permanent high quality positions will be added over the next five years.

Sandra Lawrence, UK and Ireland General Manager at Equifax, said: “The opening of this new office is testament to our commitment to Ireland as a strategic location for our business. In particular, we welcome the support and encouragement from the local and business community and we are confident of finding the necessary skills and experience that our new expanded operation will require.”

Minister Browne congratulated management and staff for their success and for their commitment to the South-East Ireland region. “The expansion, which is part of Equifax’s strategy for international growth, makes Wexford a further integrated and critical part of the Group’s future well-being. I congratulate the Wexford staff and management for the great success of the operation, a factor which played a large part in the winning of this investment. Other influencing factors were Equifax’s positive experiences in Wexford, such as a strong supply of high quality graduates and skilled people, a pro-business community with a wide choice of property solutions supported by an international standard infrastructure, plus an excellent quality of life.”
