Equifax helps consumers navigate through the Snakes & Ladders of credit information
Equifax research reveals UK consumers are managing their finances – but also highlights the importance of understanding credit information to gain new credit
Credit information features in so much of daily life, from signing up to the latest mobile phone contract to applying for a new mortgage. But leading credit information provider, Equifax, believes many consumers still don’t understand how their credit history could affect their credit future.
“Ensuring that your credit report remains accurate and up to date is one step towards helping you get the best deals for your circumstances”, explained Andrew Webb, Sales & Marketing Director at Equifax Personal Solutions. “It’s surprising, therefore, that so many consumers aren’t aware of the amount of credit information available to credit providers and the factors that can impact their ability to secure the deal they’re after.
“With our Credit Score snakes & ladders , we’re giving consumers some helpful insight into the positive and negative factors that might affect their credit score.”
Available to download for free from the Equifax website (https://www.equifax.co.uk/newsroom/credit-score-snakes-and-ladders.html), ‘Credit Score snakes & ladders ’ is designed to help consumers learn more about the factors that might affect their credit score with a helpful plain English glossary designed to demystify credit information.
