In the eighth episode of this series we took another look at consumer debt, collections activity and financial vulnerability. As we emerge from the pandemic straight into a cost of living crisis and economic slowdown, we looked at the dynamics of consumer financial health. In previous Market Pulse webinars we saw that during the pandemic there were certain profiles of consumers that felt the pinch and those that were relatively more protected. We compared and contrasted these groups with those that were expected to feel the brunt of the latest crisis. We asked, without the same government protections in place, will people be more at risk now than through the pandemic? Who is most likely to bear the burden of the cost of living crisis? And what do we think might happen in future?
