Equifax celebrates 25 years in Wexford office

Equifax, the consumer and business insights expert, is today celebrating 25 years in its Wexford office, having first opened its doors on 5th October 1994.  The office, which is based in the IDA Business & Technology Park in Drinagh, is now home to 125 members of staff.

To celebrate the significant milestone, Equifax will be hosting a week of activities including a photographic trip down memory lane, quizzes and tasty treats for colleagues.

Four Wexford colleagues are also marking their silver anniversaries working at the global data, analytics and technology company. Employees Mary O’Gorman and William Murphy started their Equifax careers in the same week of the office opening in 1994 and their colleagues Gary McGuire and Susan Bainbridge are also celebrating their 25th anniversary with Equifax this month.

Mary O’Gorman, Change Analyst, commented: “I started my job at Equifax just two days after my 20th birthday and over the past quarter of a century I’ve benefitted from a variety of different roles. I have enjoyed my time here, having made some great friends, and look forward to what the next 25 years will bring!”

William Murphy, Data Manager, said: “Over the past 25 years the focus on the importance of accurate and predictive data has hugely increased and working at Equifax has enabled me to contribute to delivering that to our clients, as well as enjoying working with many great colleagues through the years.”

The teams based in Wexford include Data Operations, Global Consumer Solutions, Client Services and Change Management, of which 80% of employees are originally from the local Wexford area.

Patricio Remόn, President Europe of Equifax, said: “Our colleagues are celebrating a landmark 25 years in the Wexford office, demonstrating our commitment to the local area. There have been many industry and technological changes in the past 25 years but what has remained consistent is the hard work of our talented and dedicated colleagues. On 4th October we will spend the day celebrating this special anniversary and many more successful years to come.”
